Are you prepared for postpartum?
Most birth classes end at the birth.
But the truth is, that’s just the beginning.
Our 3-hour Ready to Latch Workshop is designed to guide you through what comes next, those early days and weeks after baby arrives. We’ll cover what the birth classes don’t: the physical and emotional recovery, feeding options and expectations, sleep basics, partner support, and navigating your new identity as a parent. We make sure you understand signs of low supply, damaged nipples and mastitis, and have evidence based strategies in place to manage these common breastfeeding issues
Led by an experienced midwife and lactation consultant, this session is grounded in real-world insight, gentle guidance, and no-judgement support. You’ll leave feeling calmer, more confident, and better prepared—not just for the birth, but for the full experience of becoming a parent.
Perfect for:
Expecting mums (and partner/support person welcome!) in their third trimester

We’ll dive into what life really looks like after birth- especially when it comes to feeding your baby. There’s a strong focus on breastfeeding: what’s normal, what’s not, how to get started, and how to navigate common challenges in those early weeks, like sore nipples, low supply and mastitis. We’ll also cover what to expect from the hospital, your physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, expressing, bottle feeding, sleep basics (no sleep training here), and practical strategies to help you feel supported and confident. Support people are encouraged to attend too, there’s tailored guidance to help them understand how to be genuinely helpful in the postpartum period.
-
The ideal time is between 28–36 weeks pregnant, when birth is getting closer but you’ve still got time and headspace to prepare for the postpartum chapter

Partners are absolutely welcome and encouraged to join. The workshop is designed to support both of you as you step into life after birth together. We also appreciate that many women do this without a partner and welcome any support person you would like to bring with you
-
Just yourself (and your support person if they’re joining), a water bottle, and anything that helps you feel comfortable. All materials and handouts will be provided on the day.

Yes! Most birth classes focus on labour and birth. This workshop fills the gap, helping you prepare for recovery, newborn care, feeding, sleep, and your emotional wellbeing post-birth. If you are unsure, reach out to Megan to decide if attending is worth it for you
