FAQs
What is an endorsed midwife?
An Endorsed Midwife is a registered midwife who has additional qualifications and recognition to provide Medicare-funded care. This means they can offer comprehensive, personalised support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period—including referrals for tests, prescriptions, and ongoing care—often in a private setting. After the visit, women are able to claim a medicare rebate for the service, up until their baby is 6 weeks and 6 days old! There are no medicare rebates available for group antenatal classes at this time
Do you offer support for breastfeeding?
Absolutely. Breastfeeding support is one of my core services. Whether you're preparing during pregnancy or navigating challenges after birth, I offer practical, evidence-based guidance to help you feed your baby in a way that works for you—whether that’s breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or a combination.
Do you offer postnatal home visits?
Yes, I do. I offer in-home postnatal visits across Sydney’s North Shore and Northern Beaches. These visits are tailored to your needs—whether it's feeding support, settling tips, recovery care, or just a chance to ask all those new-mum questions in the comfort of your home.
How do I make an appointment?
Simple! Click on the contact us button at the top of the page, or send an email to info@learnlatchlove.com.au.
What is your availability like?
Because I work across multiple settings, my availability can vary week to week. I balance home visits across the Northern Beaches and North Shore, and I also work as a midwife at Northern Beaches Hospital and with the beautiful team at Sydney Babies.
This mix allows me to stay deeply connected to all parts of maternity care—but it also means my calendar can fill quickly. I always do my best to accommodate your needs, and I appreciate your understanding as we find a time that works best for both of us. If I can’t fit you in quickly, I will always give you options for other midwives/lactation consultants close by that you can contact
What areas do you visit?
I provide home visits on Sydney’s north shore and northern beaches. For people outside those areas, I offer telehealth, or clinic visits in the lovely rooms at Sydney Babies at North Shore Private Hospital
What if I’m not planning to breastfeed?
That’s totally okay. While breastfeeding is a key part of what I teach in my workshop, I understand that many women choose not to breastfeed for a variety of reasons. That doesn’t make you any less worthy of exceptional postnatal support. What matters to you, is what matters to me. I want to ensure you feel supported and confident in how you choose to nourish your baby and take care of them in those first few weeks afterbirth
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
Things happen - we get it! But due to limited availability, we do need to run a tight schedule. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your appointment or workshop can be refunded in full, or rescheduled. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled subject to availability.
